Health Spa
Your doctor advises you for a health spa or you personally decide to have spa treatment in the Villa Seilern Vital Resort. Here is a brief overview of the approach to applying for a spa.
1. Hotel Reservation
You already have a concrete date idea, then please call or send us an e-mail.
Your personal contact person is Ms. Magdalena Buder. She is available from Monday to Wednesday 7.30am – 4pm and on Thursday and Friday from 7.30am to 11.30am under the telephone number: 06132/241 32-154 or m.buder@villaseilern.at. 2. Booking
We are constantly striving to meet deadlines. Therefore, we recommend that you register early. Reservations, for this coming year, are possible for the school terms, also for retired teachers from the middle of June.
We agree with the registration deadlines for active teachers (summer holidays) from the LKUF Upper Austria. These have been fixed one year in advance and are published with the booking criteria in the June edition of the VITAbene.
There is high demand for single rooms in the summer holidays. Therefore, we recommend you think about the possibility of sharing a double room with a friend or colleague.
3. Medical Conditions
Our house is perfect for you for the following medical conditions:
- Respiratory problems
- Functional disorders and musculoskeletal problems
- Cardiovascular disease and circulatory problems
- BURN OUT syndrome, psychosomatic medicine, regeneration
4. Applying for a Medical Spa
The "Application for extended care" can be found on the Upper Austrian LKUF website.
Please go to your practitioner or physician no earlier than six months or later than 14 days prior to the start of your spa to get the form completed.

5. Health authorization / reservation confirmation
Once your application to the Upper Austrian LKUF has been received it will then be processed. After authorization by the Upper Austrian LKUF has been issued we, the Villa Seilern Vital Resort receive from the LKUF a reply and we then send you a reservation confirmation, a medical history sheet and an information sheet to our spa guests.
We apologize for any inconvenience that some time may elapse before the issue of the confirmation form. In any event you will receive your documents on time.
6. Rejection by the Upper Austrian LKUF.
Treatments are sometimes not approved. One reason may be, among other things, the consumption already of a health spa.
In case of cancellation, due to non-approval, please contact the hotel directly. The cancellation of your appointment is free of charge in such cases!
7. Cancellations / postponements
For cancellations or postponements by you (the spa guest) from three months to one month before start of treatment is a processing fee of € 15.00 per person per stay.
If cancelled within the month before arrival for unforeseen reasons such as illness, accident, or care of a relative, a cancellation fee of € 100.00 per week will be charged.
This processing or cancellation fee will NOT be refunded from the Upper Austrian LKUF! Since early 2010, we offer all guests the opportunity to purchase travel insurance with the European Travel Insurance Company.

CALCULATION OF CANCELLATION INSURANCE
The insurance premium is 5% of the total stay and thus makes
- € 54.60 for a 14-day spa treatment package
- € 88.20 for a three-week stay
8. Arrival
Your room will be available from 3pm on the day of arrival. It is possible that your short medical examination takes place already before 3pm (telephone notification to be given by the health department).
In such cases we will be happy, if your room is not ready in advance, that a bathrobe and changing facilities (this can be reached through the health department) are available. More information about the spa area is available here.
9. Important information
Short interruptions, trips home, etc. are not possible. You are requested to remain for the whole course of treatment, whether 14 days or 21 days with us at the Villa Seilern Vital Resort. Feel free to take short trips, as long as these do not affect the spa treatments.
On Sunday and public holiday there are no therapies.
Please let us know of any food intolerances you have already when booking the room.
A change of room after arrival due to organizational reasons is not possible.
1 parking space is available per room. If you arrive with 2 cars, we ask you to park at a nearby parking area (Congress &Theatre House) or reserve a parking space for € 6.00 per day or € 28.00 per week.
Discounted vouchers for entry into the Euro-Therme-Spa Bad Ischl are available at the reception.
10. Departure
On day of departure, you pay the excess of € 8.60 per person per night and the local tax of € 1.68 per person per night and any additional consumptions such as garage use, Internet access, drinks with meals, ...
If you have exceeded your health spa flat-rate of € 220.00 per Spa Week, the difference must also be paid at the hotel.
You have the option to pay with VISA, Master Card, ATM Card, American Express or in cash.
11. Additional Insurance
Your additional insurance pays you a daily allowance after completing your treatment. Please inquire directly to your insurance company about the amount.
The Upper Austrian LKUF automatically notifies the Merkur Insurance Company and UNIQUA. For all other additional insurance companies we can provide you with a confirmation of residency.
