A HOUSE WITH BOTH A PAST AND A FUTURE
“Building a bridge between the traditional and the modern day is something that we concern ourselves with in almost every sphere,” says the responsible project manager DI Helmut Pfeil, Managing Director of Villa Seilern BetriebsgmbH.
“A team was built around the Salzburg architects “Scheicher”, who have both aesthetically and convincingly managed to span the divide between the old villa and the modern “Vitalhotel” (vitality hotel). All other companies that have up to the present time been commissioned with work on the project (general contractor Fa. Hillebrand) have proven how sensitively and intelligently they can handle historical building structures.”
Villa Seilern, built in 1881 in a historicist style which was typical of the time, forms the central point around which all the modern amenities such as the SPA, the therapy and recreation facilities are grouped. The rooms and suites are located in the new section, while the restaurants and seminar rooms revitalise the old part of the building.
